Aline Dobbie – India

Aline Dobbie was born in India as the daughter of a Scottish army officer serving in the Indian army. She lived in India for the first 16 years of her life, speaking Hindi, Urdu and English. She has returned many times since and thinks of it as home as much as Scotland.

Mel Kavanagh is a highly qualified veterinary surgeon, with over 20 years experience.

 

Bob Lehner – Vets

Bob Lehner has worked with everything from hamsters to horses, as well as having had experience in the pharmaceuticals industry, commercial deer farming and zoo animals.

 

Paul Smiddy – Flying

A lifelong, self-confessed flying addict, Paul Smiddy is a Liveryman of the Guild of Air Pilots and Air Navigators and a member of the Great Britain Flying Team.

 

Charles Dixon – Property

Charles Dixon is a Director of a large, multi-disciplinary, surveying practice in Exeter. He studied at the University of Reading, where he read Estate Management.

 

Ian Grandison – Medicine

Born in Wales, Ian lived in France from the age of six until he was twelve, making him bilingual. He joined St George’s Hospital (then at Hyde Park Corner in the building now occupied by the Lanesborough Hotel) for his clinical studies.

 

Peter McGarrick – Law

Peter McGarrick was a lawyer in Central London for more than 32 years. After graduating in Law from Southampton University, he qualified as a solicitor in 1972, when he joined Linklaters, then already one of the world’s leading law firms.

 

Ian James – Police

Ian James served with the Metropolitan Police for 30 years. He worked in several specialist departments during his career, serving with the Traffic Division, the Special Patrol Group and the Territorial Support Group in South London.
